These terms apply when you book or receive treatment at Horizon Medical, and when you use this website. Please read them before your first appointment. If anything is unclear, call us on 01553 223275 and we will explain.
About us
Horizon Medical is a private clinic at 3 Peterborough Road, King's Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 5FQ. Our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council. You can reach us at hello@horizonmedical.health or on 01553 223275.
Booking
You can book by phone, by email or in person. You do not need a GP referral. Your booking is confirmed when we send you the date, time and price.
Please give us accurate information about your health, medication and medical history. Your treatment depends on it.
Consultations and treatment
Your clinician will explain the options, the likely results, the risks and the cost before any treatment. We will ask for your consent, usually in writing. You can change your mind before treatment starts.
A clinician may decide a treatment is not right for you. If so, they will explain why and talk you through other options, which may include referral back to your GP or the NHS.
Medicine cannot promise a particular outcome. Your clinician will tell you what is realistic for you, and we will not guarantee a result.
Fees and payment
Our current prices are available from reception and are confirmed when you book. Payment for a consultation is due on the day. For procedures, we may ask for a deposit when you book and the balance before treatment.
Fees cover only what is listed in your quote. Extra tests, follow-up appointments or further treatment are charged separately, and we will tell you the cost before going ahead.
Insured patients
If you have private medical insurance, check with your insurer before your appointment that your treatment is covered and get an authorisation number. Please bring your policy and authorisation details with you.
We will bill your insurer directly where we can. You are responsible for any amount the insurer does not pay, including excesses, shortfalls and treatment that is not covered.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
Please give us at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Another patient can then take the slot.
If you cancel with less notice or do not attend, we may charge the full consultation fee. For procedures, deposits are non-refundable if you cancel within 7 days of the date. We will waive these charges in genuine emergencies.
If we need to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible, offer the next available appointment and refund anything you have paid for that appointment if you prefer.
Refunds
Payment is for the clinical time and care given, so it is not refundable because a result was not what you hoped. If you are unhappy with your care, please tell us (see Complaints below).
Your medical information
We keep your records confidential and handle them as described in our Privacy Policy. With your agreement, we send a summary of your care to your GP.
Aesthetic treatments
Aesthetic treatments are only available to adults aged 18 and over. We will ask about your reasons and expectations at your consultation, and we may not offer treatment if we do not think it is in your interest. Your clinician will make sure you have enough time to think between your consultation and any cosmetic procedure that needs it.
Children
A parent or legal guardian must come with any patient under 16 and give consent for their treatment.
Behaviour
We expect patients and visitors to treat our staff with respect. We may end an appointment, or decline future bookings, if someone is abusive or violent.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Email hello@horizonmedical.health or write to the clinic. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and aim to give a full reply within 20 working days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can also contact the Care Quality Commission. It does not investigate individual complaints, but it uses what you tell it to check the quality of our care.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Our clinicians hold appropriate medical indemnity.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by these terms.
